Junior Membership Application

Join Us!

As a family oriented club, we have a lot to offer our Junior Members. Our yearly schedule is packed with opportunities to learn how to sail, to practice racing and sailing techniques, to enjoy parties and social events, and to learn leadership skills. Join us today and find out how much fun it is to be a Junior.

The Junior Membership is one of the most affordable youth affiliations around! For only a $40 initiation fee, and $15.00 a month, your child or children can enjoy free coaching, parties, sailing and races, leadership positions, and much more. The only other fees that may be required are race entry fees, payable to OYC or other yacht clubs to which we travel. These are typically $10-15 per race series.

A family membership is a great way to get the whole gang involved in the fun sport of sailing. With the Junior Program for your children, the ladies' Doll-Fins group, plus big and small boat sailing, dining, and parties for the whole family, OYC provides something for everyone.

Check Us Out!

Still a little uncertain?  Come and meet with us the first Thursday of each month, at 6:00 p.m. downstairs at OYC. This is our monthly meeting night where we introduce new and prospective members to our group and conduct Junior Program business. This will be a good way for you to find out what kind of a program we are and see whether we’re right for your family.

We strongly believe in making the Juniors a part of their program by advocating Junior responsibility and decision making alongside adult supervision. Each Junior is held accountable to sportsmanlike behavior and the tenets of the Corinthian yachting spirit.

We expect our Juniors to be kind to and supportive of one another, to help each other grow and improve both on the water and on the docks. That stated, we support these endeavors by providing role models, coaching and seminars that show our Juniors the appropriate behavior and  the leader’s way of dealing with conflicts. We like to impart the values of fun competition, fair play, and team work to emphasize the unity of our program and our commitment to training excellent sailors and excellent young people for our future.
