The
Oceanside Yacht Club Juniors are a non-profit organization that fosters
the development of youth character, leadership, and self-reliance by
teaching sailboat racing in an atmosphere that encourages personal
growth and team spirit. The Junior program offers a rigorous yearly schedule that includes sailing instruction, sailboat racing on big and small craft, fishing, social activities, and leadership opportunities. The variety of experience that each Junior gleans from the program is integral in preparing him or her for college and the work force by emphasizing the importance of individual accomplishments alongside the value of teamwork in completing big projects.
