Thank you for visiting Oceanside Yacht Club’s Junior Program website. We hope that you will find your visit informative and pleasant. The goal of our website is to show you why youth sailing is the best kept secret in youth sports; within our program, in addition to promoting Junior boating, we emphasize the values of accountability, leadership, responsibility, self-reliance, and goal-setting.  We feel that these important lessons are tantamount to the fun and challenge of learning a new sport.

Our yacht club, founded in 1963, has always had a Junior Program. From its inception, this program has taught both the children of yacht club members, and the individual Junior members about sailing in an atmosphere that is supervised and exciting. Today, the program offers a myriad of services, from weekday coaching in small boats, to monthly sailing seminars, to parties, to big boat sailing opportunities. Whether your child wants to learn how to sail a small boat, or fish, to make new friends, or learn a new skill, Oceanside Yacht Club’s Junior Program is the place for you and your family!
